I've been there many times. It's a good ride w/good friends. I'm always amazed by the, what I call kids, on the crotch rockets doin' wheelies and flyin' up and down that road. I just watch them and shake my head. I guess I did some stupid stuff when I was young too

Great roads up there. I remember there use to be a restaurant right up the road hanging over the cliff.

Looking to do a run to this area as I've heard good things about Hawks Nest Ride etc. Can someone suggest a good route there from Monmouth County NJ?

I remember riding up there back in the mid 90's. My friends and I were turned away simply because we were on bikes and had a riding club (non 3pc) patch. He didn't ask us to remove them, he simply stated they were closed...with a parking lot full of cars and patrons.

Karaokeman - you can try this route. Guaranteed to be great but will take 4 hours. (I think you'll need to view in Firefox).

maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&q=freehold,+nj&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x89c17400afb6bb93:0x3a730681b4fafefc, Freehold+Township,+NJ&gl=us&ei=WvAvUvrxBY_a9ASsroH wBw&ved=0CKUBELYD

If for some reason this link doesn't work, in a few days go to sundaymorningrides.com , choose NJ as the state and it should be on page 4 (still pending).

Enjoy.
