Just wanted to let everyone know that the Timonium Bike show is going to happen Feb. 10 -12 this year. I've been going for the last five years and they do a great job. Lots of manufacturers, vendors, contests (bike, tattoo, bikini, etc.), swap meet, entertainment and so on. Here is a discount ticket too.

Absolutely right. If I can't take Friday off, I get there first thing in the morning on Saturday.

 

I'll be there Saturday morning as well. Always a good show. I like the swap shop part also.

 

I went in 2013 and again last year (2016). The main reason I went was to look for parts in the swap meet building. After spending some time in the packed main hall, we hopped on a shuttle and went searching for the swap meet only to find out there wasn't one.

When I looked over the ad for this year, I also noticed that there wasn't a mention made of a swap meet. So if that's your primary reason for attending, I'd check the details closely.

Personally I wouldn't make the 3.5 hour trip again based on what I saw last year, but if I was more local I'd probably attend.

 

Is it OK on Sunday too? Do they shut down early, fewer vendors, etc? Or is Sunday as good as Friday & Saturday? Few of us might go for something different, but might not be able to make it on Friday or Saturday.

 

It's a good show if you've never been there or just want to get out of the house on a winter day and go do something. I went five years in a row but skipped last year since it never changes much from year to year. Probably not going this year either. Saturday is the busiest, the parking lot fills up by 1:00 then you have to find something off-site which can be a challenge but Sunday is a good day also. IMO the price is too high even with the coupon. All makes of bikes both on and off-road are there.

 

I'm within 20 mins and I don't go anymore, the last couple times have been a waste as it changed from swap meet type stuff to manufacturers.
