I found a signature pic of a Harley which appeared to be leaking oil so badly that there was kitty litter spread all around it.

And that was my exact response to that girl. If you're going to spew out information, at least check your facts.

'I don't care what people choose to ride as long as they are happy with it.'

I agree with this statement 100%. It's just these Harley haters that get to me a little. Heck, like I said, I still own my old Shadow. I also have a Fender AND a Gibson. I wave at guys on scooters. lol

Had a honda VT1100 Shadow Spirit for 2 years. Sold it and bought my 06 Ultra. Had fun on the Shadow but could not ride 30 minutes without getting a numb butt. I used to be on that forumand there was a lot of HD bashing. Most do not have the money to ride a Harley but wish that theydid. Honda Shadow will do but not in the same class as a Harley. The mods that I have on my UC cost more than my Shadow did.

I found a post where a guy was bragging about doing as much as 140 miles in a day. Another guy bragging that he put 5000 miles on his Shadow last year! Whoopee! How impressive!
Well that about sums it up. When they grow up they will get Harleys.

LOL, amazing how stuff like this comes up. First time I've paid attention to one of these type threads in a spell. Couple years ago I had a post pulled off the VTX board. Wasn't any slamming in it; just explained why I choose to ride HD. Their Admin didn't like it. Oh, well.

Kinda funny, but I've been regressing these past couple years. I don't care what anyone else rides. I also don't care to hear, read, or even see anything about the metric cruisers. They simply do not registerany longer. Or maybe it's more accurate to say I choose to simply ignore them. Whatever.

Never figured I'd start thinking that way, again. And maybe I'll change sometime, but I don't see it happening. Ride a metric cruiser, ride a 'Wing, ride a crotch rocket - your choice, your world. I'm now old enough, and have been riding long enough, that I figure I've earned the right to be a curmudgeon. So, I'mputting on my Curmudgeon Muttersickle Crank Club colors, and ignoring everyone else.

Of course, there is my previous boss who just bought a VTX 1300. I dumped a li'l pile of rice underneath his bike a couple weeks ago. He saw it and couldn't figure out what it was, thinking it was some oil-dry stuff we have, and that it didn't belong under his bike, but under my Sloptail (that has a crack in the cases and does leak a bit!). I told him it looked like his bike was leaking, and he had a blank look. Said he needed to check it out, but it was probably rice, and nothing unusual;allrice-burners leaked rice. He's a good sport, and got a kick outta it.

The Harley - Honda feud reminds me of the Gibson - Fender guitar feud....Never understood that pissing contest either...

They both do what they do very well, but they are very different animals.
Naw, Martin is much better than both acoustic wise that is. Hee-hee

Wow, 140miles! That's a trip to the movies for me. They definitely do a lot more squalling about us than we do about them! That retarded VTX forum that a couple members infiltrated last year has a board just for Harley bashing.

My neighbor that just bought a used '04 Super Glide just can't believe how much better a bike it is than the Honda 1100 he had last. Everything from overall quality, handling and yes, even the power.
