Well, Al..... I gotta say, I should probably just stay out of this one, but.....................

I'll just say, they better pack a lunch.. Toyota doesnt have anything for the working class..

I really wish the American public would wake up and compare products once again rather than base opinions on quality to 25yr old experiences. The playing field is much more leveled than ever before. If you search, you will find "facts" on Toyota quality falsities. Even the closed minded anti American media is starting to call Toyota on their faults for a change. Recently, some of the reviews now show the Ford Fusion, for example, to be a superior vehicle to the Camery.. Thats right, the lowly Ford beat Toyota.. They dont build a truck for me to speak of, sorry..

No hard feelings, I'm still down with the '305'...[sm=icon_rock.gif]
Totally agree! The Cadillac CTS is Motor Trend's Car of the Year. Beat out the Audi S5 and TT, the Mercedes C350, Volvo C30, Honda Accord, Volvo X70 among others.

Ah but Toyota Tundra Got MT Truck of the

Also the Fusion hasnt been out long enough to compete w/ a Camry, lets se what happens when all these fusions on the road hit 100 or 200K My dad is a import mechanic & we see Camrys with over 200K & 300K all the time

[sm=wakeup.gif]remember this thread boys and girls in 1 to 2 years from now. I have said many times in here, I am a chevy man at heart but the facts are the facts the big three have something to really worry about anyway at least gm does because ford and dodgehave already gotten whooped by Toyota. Look around you in any traffic lite count the toyota vs anything else.
GET OVER IT!!![sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]

I do think that the American companies need to be aware of the threat, but I think their on the right track now. As long as they dont take it too lightly, I really dont believe the Japanese have anything for them..

I was just talking to my buddy about the number of imports we have seen recently, broken down or smoking. Not saying they are that bad, but they aint that good.. The issue I see right now with the Toyota support is very similar to Harley vs Japan. In the AMF days, Harley got a hard earned reputation. Very similar to the Big "3".. They have come back, but there are still many people out there claiming that Japan makes a better bike and or that they will be making a cruiser to whip up on Harley's market.. They havent made one yet, similar, but not the same.. The Japanese dont understand what many of us want..

BTW, Ihave 4 Fords in my yard right now(yes, running) 2 with over 200,000, one with 160k, and another with 110k. The Harley is the baby of the bunch with 36k.. Kinda beats the hell out of the lack of longevity in American vehicles argument... Very little done to any of mine at all...

I'm with big_al on this one. I'm a die hard chevy fan, but i am partial to the cummins motor and the old 7.3 powerstroke (as i work on them day in and day out). I'd like to see that truck put in production and see if it can handle it out in the work field.

WOW! That truck is so................. freaking ugly, looks like a Tundra with some "BIG AZZ" wheel wells they slapped on it. [&:]

Ya know whats funny, I use to be strickly a Ford man and paid no attention to GM or Dodge trucks, but since the Japs are trying to take over when ever I see any American built truck I see the driver as a brother and give him a knod, and when I see a Jap truck I wanna pull the American hater out of his truck and kick his azz.no really! You dont belive that do you?
What about the suppliers of all the parts the "assembe" in Indiana? What about the R&D that takes place in Japan rather than in America?

Its like saying that since you build a model car in your house, all the credit should be yours.. At least 80-90% of that wonderfull American built Toyota's proffit on all levels, not just sales, goes straight to Japan.. They love you for supporting their economy under the false pretence that you are helping yours..

Never owned an Imported truck. Don't want to steal the thread, however after getting screwed by Ford on F-350's, I'll never buy another one. Fuel tanks flaking and clogging up filters etc. Happening on a wide scale according to mechs. Ford says it's due to Bio diesel mixes from Petro Cos. BS
Ford has had this problem for 30 years. They're working on a fix. Just give 'em a little more time.

A Cadillac's resale value drops quicker than Wile E. Coyote falling off a cliff holding one of those ACME anvils.
