Allstate "Safe driving rewards check" scam.

I love it, Every six months I get a check from Allstate telling me since I'm a safe driver they are sending me this "Safe Driving Bonus" check. It's $24.95. Then on my following statement I see that the $24.95 is added to my total of what I owe them. Then send me a check, then charge me for it, WTF is That?!?!?!?! What a great scam on their part. Imagine how much money they make if just a small percentage of their customers either lose the check or just forget to cash it. Then they want to give me a quote for motorcycle insurance, No thanks.

I do believe I'd be talking to my agent and asking WTF? There are other insurance companies out there that will insure your vehicle(s).

yup Virgo... Haven't ever had a wreck that I was at fault. and only one wreck (was not my fault, guy made a left turn into me from the middle lane on a one way street.. I was in the left lane) in 34 years of driving.

yet shows I am most likely to have wreck... not true. I am the most likely to cause others to wreck.. hehe.

Instead of just mailing my statement in, I will drive over to the office and ask about it. I've had Allstate for as long as I can remember. Maybe 30 years. I should shop around, I never had thought about changing insurance because when I talk to friends, co-workers...etc. It seems my car insurance bill is half of what everyone else seems to be paying here in Jersey.

I could see them charging me back for the "safe driving" check they sent if I had an accident or put in a claim. But that's not the case either, Perfect driving record.

This business of sending me a check, then adding it to my bill has been going on for about 2 years now. At first I thought "Screw-it" it's only $24.95 that their giving then taking. But over the course of the two years the principal of it all is starting to bother me.
