Default Oil cooler mix and match

Hey everyone, my first thread so go easy on me. I have a 2016 fxdls. She runs hot as hell. I am looking to cool it down. I ordered the HD premium side mount oil cooler but it does not work on the lowrider S. The adapter goes up from the oil filter mount and hits on my exhaust bungs. looking at both the jaggs and ultra cool adapters they seem to have the hoses mounted on the bottom. So I am trying to figure a way to use the aftermarket adapter with the Harley cooler (as it has the nicest cleanest look) however in my research I found that the jaggs adapter leaks. So I am left with ultra cool. Now the problem is both jaggs and HD they use rubber hoses and hose clamps where as ultra
cool uses threaded Lines. Anyone have an idea for me? I will not mount a low Mount cooler so thats not an option. My other question is why cant i attach the lines directly @ the oil filter and skip the adapter all together. Are the Allen bolts facing outward not for that specifically?

thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

Cool too hot !!!

Know what you mean about running too hot ....we use the 7 row sportster oil cooler core with the Jegg oil filter adapter that has the oil lines out the bottom , and the Flo washable screen oil filter , plus the Ward werks cooling fans , ...then add a quart of the Lucas heavy duty oil stabilizer ...and 20w50 oil ...
installed a pipe on our 14' S/G and running the PC-V w/ 18mm sensors ...had to remover the stock oil filter adapter and cooler because of the same issues you are having ...But with no Leaks ...!!!

hope this helps ...!!!
