Not sure quite why that happened. It hasn't before.

They probably opened a distribution point in SD, which makes it taxable. That's what happened here in Va.

It looks like there are 78 sellers of the K&N on Amazon, maybe the one you ordered from is in a state that requires charging sales tax on out of state orders.

Did you know if you shop at Smile.Amazon.com you can choose a charity for Amazon to donate to? Many items are eligible for donations at no extra cost to you.

Look for the "Eligible for AmazonSmile donation."

K&N 141B from Amazon. Trust me, you want the nut on the end. I thought getting the OEM HD filter off my '15 RGS was a pain. The M8 is much worse because of that big oil cooler and all the plumbing. Plus the oil filter socket kept slipping. Get the nut, and be careful not to overtighten.

I use 2 Wix 51215 they come in chrome too I think that number is 51225 they are very good filters. Oil filters are way more complicated than most think. Wix Fram and Napa have been around for a long time and there's a good reason for that

Use anything but Fram. If your interested in why, buy a basic Fram filter, new. Cut it open with a saw and see what is not there held together by silicone glue. Once you look inside, you will not use another one on anything you run.
