Where is the transmission oil plug on a 2003 Fatboy? Which oil plug is located in the behind the front wheel on the right side?

Should be between the two shocks if like my 06, leave the one directly under the motor alone.

The transmission oil drain plug on your fatboy is up between the shock's and hard to get at....it's a gift from harley to make you work if you want to change your own oil [:@]. The motor oil drain plug is right under the oil bag down under the swing arm closer to the back wheel on the right side and the primary is just under the derby cover if you need to know. The transmission plug is tricky so be careful you don't strip it or cross thread it. Good Luck.

The tranny drain plug has wrenching flats on it, but is also an internal-wrenching bolt as well. If you use an allen-head driver bit (I believe it's a 1/4" bit) with a ratchet and a 1/4" drive extension, it's simple to remove & replace the plug.

Allot easier to get to the tranny bolt if you have a bike jack.....easier to see
where you are putting the bolt instead of doing it 'blind'.

That's where the 1/4" drive extension (about 3-4" long) I mentioned comes in handy...

On my 05 Fatboy it is between the shocks as well.
The dealer tech told me to be very careful as it is the easiest one to strip out.
