Default Schaeffer Lubricants

Have any of you used Schaeffer oils in your rides?

I've used for 9 years in semis, forklifts and pickups with no problems.
Curious to see if anyone has used in a Harley.

It will be some time before I drop oils. 995 miles to be exact.

Grover,

I'd be up to the challenge. Too much liquid de-icing agent on the roads courtesy of the Iowa DOT!

I didn't think about adverse road conditions. Weather is one thing, chemical assaults are another.

I too am a Captain in the fire service. I ride a Fire Fighter Special Edition 05 Road King.

I have heard of it. Their was a demonstration of it at our County Fair a couple of years ago. A lot of Trucker use it I know. At that time I think they sent me a price listing. I think a case was around $250. If anybody has a comparison between Scaeffer Lubricants and the leading Motorcycle oils I would be interested.

The last time I looked, they didn't have any 20w-50 synthetic available. I wish they had some, as their other oils are generally considered good products.

My maintenance supervisor, bless his heart (that's a southern term that has several derogatory meanings), has us use some 10w-40 Schaeffer in our company trucks. When I pointed out that the particular oil we were using didn't meet the warranty specs of the vehicles, he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Bless his heart!

They sell them at some of the Wal-Marts here but I didn't see a synthetic on the shelf. I have heard too that they are good lubricants for gearboxes and HD applications. They were in the HDEO dino oil section with the diesel oils.
