Default Oil Dipstick popped out while riding

My 2011 Heritage with 12,000 miles or so has never done this. It didn't come out all the way but ruined two sets of clothing with oil all over the bike. The oil was right on the full mark. Any ideas....

Excessive crankcase pressure from engine not venting properly? Seal on dipstick too loose?

I have it on the full mark with every Harley. Its an air cooled / OIL cooled motor and should have no issues at the full mark. That's why they put it there. If they thought you should run it low, they'd have dropped the line on the dipstick.

I run mine full when hot. Spits a little in the filter but not bad. As stated. He could have plugged up umbrella valves in the heads causing excessive crank case pressures. Check the simple things first.

He hasn't responded. Guessing here that he checked it cold, topped it off and started the bike. Excess oil in the sump got back to the tank and effectively over filled the air space. POP!

That was my guess. Too new to have too many problems.

Default Oil dipstick popped out while riding

Always check my oil when the bike is hot... 500 miles ago had 10,000 mile checkup and the oil was changed. If the dealership did anything wrong, you would think it should happen right after their maintenance.
