Default Belray

The indy that did my 5000 mile service yesterday on my 2007 Low Rider was pushing Belray. I had already purchased the mobile1 engine oil so I had him use that. He did though put the belray in the trany and primary. Belray makes a different big twin oil for each. He claimed everyone that has used it has been raving about the smoother and quieter shifting. Anybody heard or seen any testing of Belray against some of the other popular trany oils such as red line or amsoil?

Here is a link to a White Paper on Motorcycle oils. You can read all about it, http://www.amsoil.com/products/stree...hitePaper.aspx

I was using the Belray in the Tranny for about the first 10,000 miles it is a great oil.&nbsp\\; During that time i was using Amsoil in everything else and have changed over to Amsoil for my Tranny now just because we buy everything in bulk each year and it was easier.

Disregard any thing writen by amsoil they make a good product but the stuides are way slanted.
Belray is a good product and will serve you well.
The Spectro Platium is about the best for six speeds but hard to find.
Redline, roal purple all the 100% true sny GEAR lubes will do fine in the tranmission.
Avoid SNY in the primary.
M1 VTWIn 20/50 is a fine engine oil you will find others as good but not anything much better.
Besides with all this rain and flooding the bel-ray that traces it roots back to boat engines might be a good idea
You have some good stuff it just ride

BelRay lubricants are excellent. Many dealers have been using them for years.

i switched from harley synthetic in the tranny to belray big twin tranny oil 85-140 weigth . im not much on jumping on band wagons but i do believe my tranny is quieter and shifts better . it could just be the slightly thicker oil though . im going to try the spectro 6 speed formula next.

Ditto-switched out to BelRay in 04 cop bike and shifts better with much less "clunk" on shift into 1st gear...So good I now run BelRay in engine (semi-syn) and am going to try BelRay primary oil as well. Good stuff!!!!!

After putting 1k on the bike since the service I can say I really cannot tell any difference between the Mobil and Belray in the tranny. No problems or leaks. Truly love riding my bike. Almost makes working 60hrs a week worth it.
RIDE ON!
