Default TC88 OIL, TRANSMISSION, & PRIMARY CHANGE

I have a 2003 FLSTF and need to perform a motor oil change and the fluids in my primary & Transmission.

I am currently running AMSOIL Synthetic Oil in the Motor. Is this good to use in the Primary & Transmission or shoudl I change? The bike runs great on the AMSOIL shoud I continue this or change to a different product? Their pricing is great and I have not had any problems so I really do not see any reason to change. If it is good I would like to run it in the primary and Transmission to try and keep the same brand in everything.

I have changed the oil but never changed the primary or transmission. Can someone give me instructions on how to do this.

Thank You!

My advice.....and thats all it is.....advice.....use the 20w50 AMV or MCV in the engine and primary, the 75w90 severe gear in the tranny.

Thanks!! How much does the Oil tank take? What gaskets and seals do I have to replace? Any special way to re-tighten everything?

What is the process for changing the transmission & primary?

Do yourself a favor and buy the service manual for your bike. It will show you the entire project with all the details. Worth the $$.

Good advice on the service manual. Oil change is pretty straight forward but that book will walk you through it and then you will have for whatever the next project is.

Yeppers, I just did all three holes myself with my new manual and its really priceless to have (except the $60). It explains torque values and order of tightning for each bolt pattern. I wouldnt fool with your 15k-20k machine without the book.
