how often do you change

how often do you change
 \\;I know the manual says 5k but that sounds like a lot of miles on such a small amount of oil in a air cooled engine so how many miles do you go between oil changes

RE: how often do you change
5000 is fine if you are using the HD 5 micron filter in a TC88/96. I run synthetic oils and 5000 is no issue. If you run dino and are worried about it change at 3500 or 4000. If you are running an automotive 20w50 change it at 2500-3000. But anything under 3500 or 1 year \\;for a motorcycle rated oil is a waste of $$.

RE: how often do you change your OIL
I have tried, for weeks, \\;other ways to POST this, now I'll try as an attachment
 \\;
Sheesh!
 \\;
My .txt file is a whopping 5.71kb (small) and it will NOT go ...
 \\;
I think the FORUM needs maintenance
 \\;
I've been attempting to POST to this thread for over a WEEK and It always goes to ERROR instead of posting ... it will EVEN "preview" OK but then errors out

RE: how often do you change your OIL
Is there a restriction against Cut-N-Pasting ???
 \\;
Is there a size restriction on just TYPING?
 \\;
I even error out when attempting to contact HDF by email from the website!
 \\;
I've tried MS-Internet Explorer &\\; FireFox to no avail
 \\;
If my POST gets longer than a line or two I get an ERROR
 \\;
Anybody explain WHY? PLEASE?
