Which Mobil 1 for Primary?

RE: Which Mobil 1 for Primary?
I use M1V Twin in my primary with no problems. Some prefer a dino oil. I WAS using HD primary oil until this change. No reason for the switch except I don't have to go get another type of oil. M1 V Twin and M1 Severe Gear are local.

You don't want the 75w90 in the primary....way to thick. I use the Syn3 20w50 in mine and will probably use the mobil1 Vtwin 20w50 as well. You want to use an oil that has a 15 or 20 w lower number designation so your clutch doesnt drag when the oil is cold. But you want to avoid the automotive brands because some contain molybendum which can cause the clutch to slip. The Mobil1Vtwin, Syn3 and Redline oils all have no moly. I'm not certain about Amsoil but I think the MCV 20w50 has no moly as well. Good luck.

I have used the Mobil 1 MX4T 10W-40 with no problems. It is used in all Jap bikes and I think it seems better then the 20W-50 in the Primary. It does a Good job getting around the Primary chain and I have never had an issue with the clutch slipping!

You wont go wrong with using the M1 V-twin.....but another great choice is the gold cap 15-50...a close look at the additive packages of both reveals the gold cap to have a better wear package.
