Default Leak after cooling off

I am very new to all motorcycles in general. I have recently purchased a 2001 FXST a few months ago and have been riding since then. I noticed today after I parked my bike at work that there was a leak under the front of the bike. I cranked it up, rode it for a minute, let it idle, then turned it off. I never saw any oil dripping. I came out a few minutes later and still nothing. Then I checked about an hour later, and there was another puddle under the motor. Any idea what this could be?

Welcome to the Forum from Colorado!
At the front of the bike the only thing I can think of would be the oil filter.

Thank you!

Coming out of the filter, would it travel to the center of the bike and then delay leaking for a while?
