I went to MMI in '99 and at that time before the introduction of Syn3, the instructors told us that SUNOCO was canning the lubricants.

Many companies make things overseas. MANY times not in China
These are not just your average workers. Many times large companies such as HD would come in lease land, build their own facility and outfit it how THEY want. They then higher their OWN sweat labor. A large company usually does not contract out their overseas work rather they create their own overseas empire.

Shortly before they switched from Sunoco to Citgo, one of the MoCo honchos said something about loyalty to their oil suppliers because of the long association they'd had with them. Then the change happened. So much for loyalty ...

instead of bitching about not getting your motorclothes from the USA get on the internet and find US makers, they are out there. Ok, Ok they may not have the big HD all over them but what I ride speaks for it's self. I don't feel the need to be a walking billboard. All my leather comes from fox creek leather. it's made in this country, much better quality than almost anything made overseas and customer service that you would'nt believe. Best of all their prices are very reasonable and they do not seem to have any problems getting leather made in this country. sorry about the rant but come on people put your money where mouth is.

Fleetguard-Nelson of Stoughton, WI makes filtration products and I heard a while ago that had a contract with HD. A number of years ago, Fleetguard (a division of Cummins engines) purchased Nelson Filter. They have a large filter manufacturing facility in Neillsville, WI.

Just for you information, I never buy anything from Citgo. The Venezuela government, run by dictator Chavez, is the sole owner of Citgo gas company. Sales of products at Citgo stations send money back to Chavez to help him in his vow to bring down our government. If you remember correctly, he has teamed up with Cuba and others and has vowed to bring the US to their knees. Talk about stupid, I can't beleive our government even allows Citgo to operate in the US.
