FWIW, oil that is used infrequently can be just as damaged as oil used over too many miles. Raw fuel and other junk that's not boiled off can ruin even new oil.
For the $25 for a UOA he can just drain and refill the oil.

That is true. But you don't get the benefit of the report forewarning of an impending failure, or the knowledge that your change-interval should be increased or decreased.

Then again if the bike sit for most the year, he won't have much wear. He only has 3 qts of oil to change, so I think once a year will do and not break the bank.,,

Thank you guys.

I will take care of my baby oil once a year.

Generally I ride every month, in Portugal we have a great all season weather.
Unfortunately I do not have the time I want to ride a lot more.
