I have a 2005 FLHRSI. I have been using Screaming Eagle synthetic oil for 10K miles in all 3 cases. During my last oil change I noticed the engine oil was a quart low and the primary chain case a quart high, it was also the same color and smell as the engine oil. The engine runs great and have not noticed any other problems. Has anyone had this problem before, the warranty expired 26 days ago.

 

I would say that the crank seal is leaking and needs to be replaced.
