It's not really a question of believing you but your source isn't exactly what I would call reliable. A HD tech said that MMI said, c'mon man how's that proof of anything ?

This Amsoil dealer say it's Sunoco
http://www.smartsynthetics.com/artic...vidson_oil.htm
Harley-Davidson Maintains That You Use Their "Genuine" Motor Oil, yet Harley-Davidson Doesn't Even Make Their Own Motor Oil. Who makes Harley Oil? Harley-Davidson oil is manufactured by Sunoco.

And here it's Citgo
http://easyrider.easyrider.com/syn3.htm
Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) on the SYN-3, as filed with the Federal Government.
Manufactured by - Citgo Petroleum.

But my question is "who cares". LMAO!

Trying to learn here...

I understand the Amsoil (MCV) in engine, I have heard recommendations for the SVO 75W-140 in tran, but what is the rational for non-synthetic in primary?

Running a 2000 TC.

SNY3 good oil won't use dislike who makes it
Amsoil same reason good oil
SYN in primary if you want to go ahead will not hurt a darn thing. That stuff about the clutch is BS 100%
may lighten your wallet a bit but at 10K chnages now days that is 2-3 times a season.
Any good syn in the engine is not a bad Idea but not required many run standard oil for many miles.

For all the folks that has been spreading the bad info on Syn 3 oil saying its make by Citgo and Hugo Chavez owns Citgo. Or its made by sonoco oil. Found out you are doing just that. Spreading info you got no idea about.
HD has a contract with Mobile One and Mobile One produces Syn 3 oil.
How did you find out? Can you provide a link?

Amsoil doesnt even make their own oil. They buy the base oils from Mobil 1 then overbase the add pack too much, do a uoa, get super excited flailing their arms in the air yelling look over here! We have more additives you will never need. We are the best! Then make hundreds of fake oil websites so everyone knows it. They even have an amsoilsucks.com so you can read how awesome they are.
