I used the Redline 20w50 for 3 changes, going about 6000 miles or 9000 kilometers between swaps. Had a pretty good UOA from Blackstone one time. No matter what I always had to add only 1/4 litre or so at 2600 klicks.
The stuff worked, I still have the motor but the Amsoil could go to 9000 klicks between adding and by then it's time for a swap anyways.
Agree on the Mobil stuff, it's not what they say it is for the price it is, same with Syn 3.
