Default For those of you using Royal Purple....which one?

Hi for those of you that use Royal Purple which one are you using. I know there are like three different 20w-50 weights so which one of those are you using? One is Max Cycle 20w-50 but it's also the most expensive. There are like two is not three other 20w-50 weights.

I use the Max Cycle. I think that if you look at the others, they are for other uses. I also run RP 20W-50 in my pick up but it is not the Max Cycle, it is the standard RP.

Probably straight 50 weight would be the best unless you plan on riding below 30 degrees.

Try the regular 20w50 in the engine and see if your bike likes the stuff. The MaxCycle is wet-clutch friendly whereas the regular stuff might cause a bit of slipping.

I've used RP on my last few bikes with good results except my 2012 UC...just doesn't do well with it...noisy and likes to spit back through the a/c.

Good luck!

I'm using the automotive 20w-50 with synerlac or whatever it's called. If you can find the hps line buy it. It's got tons of zddp.

I use Royal Purple Max-Cycle 20w50 in the engine.

Royal Purple Max-Gear 75w90 in the gearbox.

Royal Purple 15w40 Diesel Oil in the primary. (My Harley Mechanic recommended Diesel oil in this weight for the primary).
