big cahuna, you say 75W90 is a 50 wt oil but as I read it, it is only equal to a 15W40[40wt] oil. I will only use a 75W90 in the cooler weather and as it warms up run the 75W110 which is the same as Amsoil's 20W50 MCV oil in weight. The MCV and the 75W110 are so close in their weights. The gear oil meets a GL5 specs., I do believe, and yes the MCV only a GL 1. I was running the Amsoil MCV in the trans but will start to run their gear lubs from now on.

I stand corrected as I red the Amsoil site again and their 75W90 is heavier then a 40 wt oil, but is not the same as a 50wt. It is in between the two wts of 40 and 50 oils.

Synergen Syngear 2 in the tranny. Best stuff on earth. Also, use their 15w50 synthetic in the engine and Supershift in the primary and the bike runs 20 degrees cooler. Noticable difference.

Smile Changed to Bel Ray with good results

Ran HD semi-synthetic for the first 92,000 miles. noticed a small drip of trany fluid on the garage floor whenever the bike sat unridden after a week or so. Switched to Bel Ray, runs good, smooth, quiet, and no more drips.
