Maybe a stupid question but throwing it out there.
I was looking at a v-cooler oil cooler but dont like the chrome look. Would powdercoating this cooler kill any of its cooling benifts?

 

Not many oil coolers are chromed, so if anything I suspect cooling will be a little better if painted. How about asking if they do a non-chrome one?!
