Default Changing the fluids from PO.

This is the first time i will be changing the fluids from the PO. I have decided to put Mobil 1 v-twin in the engine. From what I have read I should be using 75w-90 for the Trans.

The PO gave me the gear oil he has been using and its Bel Ray 85W-140. Should I stick with the 85W-140 or change to the 75w-90?

Bike is a 99 Fatboy.

Thanks

There are many opinions and they all seem to work. I run the Mobil 1 V Twin 20/50 motor oil, Belray gear saver 85/140 in the trans and Mobil 1 4T 10w40 in the primary.

Ok, I'll stick with it then. Also considering the Redline Heavy Shockproof, not sure it will work in the Evo though..
