I did like that video. I have to admit - I did lose a whole bunch of metal on my footboards and mounts trying to keep up with some of those nuts. Even got my tailpipes on some of the bouncy stuff. Pretty dumb, but I lived...

We found 242 last summer, liked it so much we stayed in Detroit Lake and did it again the next day.
Also same weekend found the GreenPeter rd out of Sweet Home, another nice back road to explore...a little rough in places but very curvy & Scenic,,
Will be spending some more time down there again this summer.

Twisties are awesome but I also loves me some long sweepers and far horizons.

Central Oregon is a great place to be or just travel through even. For those of you who like the twisties and lush scenery, try the tombstone pass going over the cascades. Be careful your first time over, as there are a few spots where the road consistently buckles upward. Once you know where they are though, it's a fun beautiful ride whether you like to cruise through or push the limits.

Default Oregon

Definitely ride the old Mckenzie pass when it opens. Great ride!! You can do a nice day loop from bend over it, then go over cougar reservoir to Oakridge, loop back home over hwy 58. Easy day, do it all the time when the snows gone and the old roads open up.

We ended up doing that ride a couple times last summer.

Default Backoven Road

Was through Central Oregon in the summer of 2012. There is a great road through the forest from Sumpter to Shaniko. Then take the Bakeoven Road from Shaniko to Maupin.

The weather is certainly perfect for a ride. I'm thinking I might slide down to the Oregon Outback next week...

South to Salem to visit family and then East through some twisties and then to Christmas Valley, Paisly, Bend, Maupin, Dalles, Goldendale, Yakima and over 410 to Enumclaw.

Sweeeet!
