Default Run21 Resurrection

The 2014 Run 21 has been cancelled effective January 5, 2014 by a Chapter vote this day January 5, 2014. Increased costs for Wasco Co. permit fees, insurance, run site rental and other associated costs plus reduced revenues in 2013 have forced the SE Chapter to make this decision. Many Thanks to everyone who has ever attended Run 21.

Ouch! One of my wife's and I's favorite rally. Last year's move sucked big time!!!!

Updated! RUN is back on under new management!!!!

Yeppers This Sucks, been going since 2006,and ALWAYS had a good time. One of the best runs within 600 miles.
Might have to give Redwood a try.

The location of last years did suck, Rougher than sh8&^,... anyone else do the hill climb section?
Sure cut down on the "circlers" cruising...
But both locations did have some awsome riding area to play in...
If it weren't for the fireworks and etc. at Birkenfield, I think it would still be working...
Anyway, Yes This SUCKS, on to something new

Losing the Birkenfeld site sucked. The morons with the bombs blowing up the crapper didn't help much.
Too bad to lose a great local run. I didn't go to last years, I looked on Google Earth at the location and it looked pretty nasty to me. I'm all about camping and roughing it but that site didn't look too inviting for a bike run.
Birkenfeld was great to just sit in camp and watch people.

It is really going to suck not having Run 21 this tear. I just found out my friend J.R. Sims is moving back to Portland next month from Vegas. His band J.R. Sims and the Texas Special played Run 21 for about 12 years in a row until he moved. Really awesome Stevie Ray Vaughn/Hendrix/ Blues musician.
He has a gig lined up at the Trails End Saloon in Oregon City May 10th I think is what he said. He played a lot of bars in Portland for years when he lived here. Tired of Vegas after a couple of years and is coming home.

Just found out Run 21 is still on.
http://www.cyclefish.com/event/14477/

It appears to no longer being an ABATE event.

"Some of you may have heard that Run 21 has been canceled... NOT TRUE.

For reasons beyond their control ABATE of Oregon has decided to no longer put on Run 21. However a new group has taken over the event and RUN 21 WILL GO ON!

Run 21 is scheduled for July 25-27 in Otis, OR

More details to follow soon!"

Is there any more info available. Like camping, music, vendors etc? It would be really cool if J.R. Sims was going to play there like the old days.
If anybody needs to contact J.R. to schedule a show let me know. I will pass this onto him. also.

It looks like J.R. Sims is going to be at Run 21 this year. That means we will be gone 4 weekends in a row this summer.
Does anybody know where in Otis the event will be held?
Can't wait for summer to get here!!!!!!!!!!
