I had a good day's ride yesterday all over a bit of northern California. I rode from San Francisco to La Grange, CA (about 40 miles east of Modesto). The reason was to help my buddy pick up his "new" ride, a 2001 FXD (with only 25,000 miles on it) which he bought from a guy who lives a little east of La Grange.

It was a beautiful day for a ride. Nice weather and great scenery in the foothills of the Sierra. Green fields all around us. Total mileage for the day was about 275 so it was a long day. And I got home to in time to watch the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl. Seattle was so stupid they deserved to lose. First they blow a big lead, and then they call that utterly stupid pass play. But my buddy's "new" bike ran just fine, so he is a lot happier then anyone in Seattle. We are going to go on a ride this summer to explore the high mountain passes of Colorado, with a side trip to Sturgis for a couple of days.

Anybody going to Yuma for the Yuma Prison Run? We are leaving Susanville on the 16th of April early in the AM and headed back from Yuma on the 19th early in the AM.

 

Yuma run? Uh no. I havent heard of anyone going to that in these parts. NORTHERN CA that is.

well...i'm restarting this thread back up. hahaha....looking for guys to ride with. I'm in the Sonora area. Lots of good places to ride up here. But I'm willing to ride west and meet up with guys in the bay area. I did that ride around Alices' (Santa Cruz area) earlier this summer. AMAZING! I've got Fridays and Saturday's off.

 

Los Banos / Hollister area. Still newish to CA. open to explore and ride the area.

 

San Francisco here. 84, 35, Pascadero ,king Road and highway1 for a nice mellow ride.
