Registration fees in Calif are 2% of the vehicle's purchase price. Then it goes down a bit every ear after that. FYI~ the fee for my 21 year old Dyna is $89 per year. There IS no annual vehicle inspection. If you have super obnoxious pipes, you're gonna get noticed by the cops. Regular traffic tickets run about $550 to $700 each. Most riders use the "ticket assassin" as they charge about $100 to get rid of the cite. Bigger tickets like DUI or reckless, you're going to want an atty.

im pretty sure that sales tax rule only applies to vehicles less then 2 yrs old so deplends on what yr bike you have

 

the DMV said its charging for any vehicle you bought within the last 12 months, so they want $1050 in sales tax for my Dyna. that was on top of the $1200 to register all my vehicles. ( car truck and bike) i havent tried to register the two trailers yet, they will be sitting in the driveway for the time being.
