Monterey Bay Area

Monterey Bay Area
I've been back in the Monterey area for a bit now, and back on 2 wheels for a year. I'm looking for other riders who like to cruise the back roads, eat good food along the way, enjoy the sights, and have a good time.
Anyone in the area?
I'm out on my own most weekends, but ride whenever the pavement is dry.
If you are easily angered by religion, politics, sexuality, or any of that other stuff then it's best we leave that out of our conversation and we will get along fine. Talk bikes, hot rods, race cars, food, music, or the great state of CA and we will get along fine.

Just rode down to Greenfield on River Rd on Sunday, it was dry but very cold.
I ride with the American Legion Riders out of Post 31, and we are always out on the road. We are going to start a social gathering in Salinas on the weekends, along with some social rides, so look for those posted up here.
If you see me on the road I'm on a Lowrider S with bags and the plate KNTOFNI.

We're neighbors! Another great ride is River Road into Greenfield, Elm over to Metz Road, take Metz into King City, then 101 south to 198 (road to Coalinga), 198 to 25, take 25 into Hollister, 156 to 101 and 101 to 156/1 and your home.
!9th Hole in Tres Pinos is a good lunch stop.
Bitterwater or Lonoak out of King City will also get you over to 25 for a shorter ride.
25 over to Paicines then Panoche Road to the Panoche Inn for a darn good sandwich. From there, Mercy Springs Road to 5, north on 5 to 152 and Pacheco Pass back home.
There's 4 Harley riders just in my neighborhood. We meet up at the 7-11 on Reservation Road by Walmart if we're heading south or down the coast. If we're going east or north we'll meet the rest of the group at the Chevron station in Prunedale.

19th hole is a good place to stop for food, just ate there last week.
I've done Panoche Inn in my car, but never been out there on my bike. I've been wanting to do it, just don't feel like going when it's 100 degrees outside.
There's 2 other HD riders in my complex (townhouse in Marina), but one doesn't have the time to ride, the other rides mostly as a commuter. I work from home, so I ride for fun and recreation. I'm a member of the American Legion Riders Chapter 31, and we ride a lot of miles, but I'm always looking for new rides for us to do as a group, or with others in the area.
Maybe sometime we should have a beer since you are local. I'm assuming you are very close if you meet on Reservation or out in Prunedale.

We'll be going to Hollister next Friday for the 4th rally. We'll be leaving from the 7-11 at 8:00 AM, pick up the Prunedale riders and over to Holister. Leaving earlier we get great parking on San Benito Street.
You're more than welcome to ride over with us and any of your riding friends that want to go. Let me know if you'll be there.
Panoche Inn is done usually in April or May before the valley gets into the hot time of the year.
4 of us live close to the 7-11, 2 more further up Reservation and 2 more close to CSUMB, then the Prunedale boys. Hollister is usually one of the times that we all ride together.

Rode out all 3 days with my ALR chapter, had a good time. Finally got the bike on the dyno to get a good baseline with just the pipe and tune.
Sunday we have an event at the CA Central Coast Veterans Cemetery to send off our 3 riders doing a cross-country fundraiser. Riding out Monday am with them to at least Paso provided I feel better by then.

We are an active group, so check out American Legion Riders Chapter 31 on Facebook for events. Our next is escorting 3 of ours to Paso Robles to kick off their fundraiser journey to Maine and back.
