that bikes bad to the bone. never ran an auto advance on mine but i know they work good. looks like you know your way around the tool box. cool pic of you and your dad. i hope you have more.

Hardheaded I look at the prices these dealerships charge don't get me wrong they know what they are doing but I hate paying someone for something I am willing to try myself been lucky so far this the first motor I have ever taken apart and down to bare metal and put back together. The way I looked at it was if it came off it should go back lol . Lots reading,internet searches, videos on newer bikes and you tube figure I'll find the truth through trial and error lol . I'm putting together a small album when I go through more pics of dads original bike and my current evolution of it I'll post more we sure had fun on those country roads in North Carolina when I was growing up on it..

I finally got the wiring figured out down hill for now...




New throttle wire working good





Gotta get spacers for my fat Bob tanks



Got all the switches working

Why do you need spacers for the tanks? They are designed to go flat against the frame and mounts. If you are having problems getting them to do that take a look at your wiring or cable routing. Most times it's just a matter of shifting some wires around.

I finally got her running thanks to the Rses right side electric start by Russ awesome product


Now I have a solid running pan





Rses starter is awesome ran up to temperature for the first time in over30 years
