I ran across this SITE a year or so ago and always wondered about it.

You can order this 48 Panhead kit and build it yourself. Has anyone ever done something like this?

I thought about how it would be a great thing for my boys to do together.

 

Cool idea if that's the bike you want. I'm having a tough time with $19K on a kit like that, though.

 

Sorry but its not a 48 just a replica, special construction, whatever you want to call it...but it is not a 48

For 19 large you could get yourself a pretty near correct bike and actually say it is the real deal.

 

yeah, i like it....
but 19, for A KIt seems a little high....
a little, not a lot...
most of that price i bet is the S&S motor and trans..
