Ok you have to turn the clock back a bit - pistons were made back in the day BEFORE they had wrist pin bridges - that were to fit a few diferent strokes ( the same pistons ) and to make the adjustment for the wrist pin in the same location, Plates were added to the bottom of the cylinder jugs to make up the difference they came in 1/8 / 3/16 / 1/4 inch it really depends on what you were doing --THAN you needed to install a brass tube into the oil return line in the jug, and re drill the blocks drain so the piston rings would not be over come with a flood of oil - also the intake manifold came in different lengths as well as the top motor mount -- cylinders were higher than everything had to be longer - plus frame mods --- exhaust dident fit as well
