It had been a very long time since I've gotten anything powder coated. Local guy wants $85 to do black gloss on my stock HD air cleaner cover.

Is that a reasonable going rate ?

 

Sounds a little high to me, but I've never priced anything in your area....I coat on the side and I would feel bad to charge any more than $40 for an air cleaner cover. But like I said, I'm not from the same area. I actually have a couple touring aircleaners that have been powder coated that I'm selling for $40 so....check into a used one

 

$85 is pretty high to me too. You may want to check somewhere else in your area first.

Had my entire front end done for $120... $85 for an air cleaner cover is way high
