Painting over chrome.

Painting over chrome.
I am trying to black out my SG, I have had most of the parts powerdercoated.
I few are not really possible, so I am roughing up the chrome with 600 grit and scotchbrite pads.
Has any body ever used Dupicolor caliper rattlecan paint for their parts and bake them in the oven according to manufacturers instructions?
According to these specs the paint will be very durable and oil and gas resistant?
Any suggestions with past experience??
Thanks in advance.

I've never done it, but was curious now that you mentioned it. So, my thoughts and quick research:
It gets good reviews on Amazon on calipers. But, didn't see where anyone put it over chrome.
I didn't find anywhere that you bake it on...but, if the instructions say to do it...then do it.
It seems to me that 600 grit is too fine. 600 grit is sometimes considered polish. So, I googled how to paint chrome...and they suggest 320 grit.

Thanks you TriGeezer!
I will use that grit to start with. I searched YouTube and the Duplicolor team was rough sanding the chrome off valve covers and using the Engine enamel paint rattle can method. On the back of the caliper spray can it states to heat in oven for one hour at 210 degrees for maximum protection.

It turned out great. I beadblasted the parts I needed done, I drove down to my local paint shop and purchased Max 2K satin hot rod rattlecan with the hardener that you tap from the bottom, once you activate the hardener you have 24 hours to apply the paint.
The cost of the Max 2K primer and paint was $ 32.00. My time not included.
