Does the finish on bolt heads and the alike really not get marred up after using tools on them?

Like a hex head doesn't get damaged when torquing it down with a ratchet socket?
Or a allen head doesn't get chewed up when you stick a allen key in it to turn and tighten/loosen it?

i use Teflon coated sockets for re assembly, ball end allens and tq bits. this way tit protects it as much as possible, it is a small surface area so if you are not careful yes you can mar it
