I've got a friend who works at a powdercoating shop and can hook me up cheap, so I'm thinking of doing the fenders and tank of my Street Bob in matte od green, does anyone have pics of how that turns out?

 

This seems to be a very hard color to find examples of....

Thanks man, thats exactly the color I'm looking for, just wish I could find more examples. However, that means I'll have a more "stand out" color, something different from all the hundreds of black bikes in my area.

 

I've seen a few bikes in the matte OD green. Are you going for the military look or just like the color? How about... "Denim OD green"? Good luck with your project!

 

Both, I was in the Corps, as well as starting a vet mc and our colors are od green, didn't think of denim od green thanks man.

My bike is going to be Candy Red Sunglo (with a little extra pearl/flake), with black accents and gold pinstripes.

Post some pics here when you get some paint done.

Just a thought...

Plasti Dip comes in a "Camo Green". (gallon cans from dipyourcar.com) You could spray your tank and fenders in green, and then add stencils with a spray can of black.

DIY job, less than the cost a paint or powdercoat job, and removable.
