They ordered the paint directly from Harley.They said it was a black base with a urethane top coat. The glitter wasn't as heavy as I was expecting, but I actually like the darker look due to more black showing from underneath. It's quite stunning in the sun, though I can't seem to get a great picture of it to save my life!!! Is it sad I am thinking of finding a professional photographer to get some good pics of my bike?

 

Ohh I love how it turned out. I am planning on doing the same thing with the same color with my 2011 Deluxe. That is the exactly color I want. I may call your shop even though I am in Maryland. Right now I am waiting on a quote to see if I can get it done here.

 

turned out perfect for flake. But flakes come in different sizes and shapes. As well as colored metallic flakes.

I know this is an old thread , but I do know first hand ,that NDfastin was dead in accurate ... Harley's voodoo purple is a black base coat with voodoo flake indigo in 16mm size .. ALL OF THE FLAKE HARLEY USES IS MADE BY VOODOO FLAKE
