Dropped a wrench on my gas tank and took a big chip out. I used the factory two stage repair paint for my cherry and blabbed in the metallic several times then coated with the red clear coat but it looked bulbous so I tried a fine grit sandpaper which left scratches all around. Then I tried spreading the red top coat over the scratches and made things even worse. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
