Does anyone know, what year, EXACTLY, H-D put in the auto-tensioner? I know the 09 didn't have the inspection cover. But, did they do away with the cover the same year? I have some ideas I want to try.

 

2007 TC96 is the first year they did away with the inspection cover.

 

The first year was in 2006 on the dyna. I believe it began with the advent of the 6 speed tranny.

True on the dyna in 06. I was posting on the premise that since he has a tourer he was asking about tourers.

 

Too bad you cant put an older cover on a newer primary.
