I have a 2012 Harley Triglide Ultraclassic, and was asked to tow a hearst trailer about 15 miles from funeral home to the cemetary with the casket in it. I was wondering if the trailer,body,& casket would be to much weight. I was also told this trailer is designed to be pulled by a trike. Any information you can give would be appreciated. Thanks to anyone that can help.

 

Good question! If you search the internet for 'harley hearse trailers' you'll get plenty of hits and pictures. It seems a common and popular thing to do.

 

I have attended a funeral where a trike was pulling one of these trailers. It was really cool as the owner was dressed in full getup of an old wild west undertaker...If it were me I would ask to pull the trailer "FIRST" with a equal load in the trailer prior to the day's event to get used to the load. I believe your bike will handle the load just fine. You will need to be confident the day of the funeral. Not something I would do unless I was prepared.
