Default Question on SE 40100061 Compensator

Hi Guys, question i have is will the rotor on my the stock TC 96ci motor on my 09 FLHTCU work with the SE 40100061 compensator ?

OR,will i need to buy the rotor used on 2010 & newer TC96 motor used on FLHTCU with the
SE 40100061 compensator?

If i need a new rotor would mi just look it up for a 2010 and or newer TC 96 motor for a FLHTCU?

THANKS....SCOTT

I would get in line and order the Baker Drivetrain compensator, and yes you'll need the new style rotor.

Need new rotor. I just installed the SE comp on a guy's 09 road king, he bought the kit that includes the rotor. Two different part numbers, one part number kit is just the compensator and the other part number is the kit with the rotor included.

According to Harley ( both catalog and web site ), that kit you mentioned ( part #40100061 )
“ … includes Rotor Assembly P/N 30041-08.”

I don't know if they have upgraded it to 30041-08A yet or not, only going off research I have done.

I believe it is much more expensive to purchase them separately. You would need
SE Comp part #42200064a
Rotor part #30041-08A
Compensator kit for '07-later part #36500034A

and don't forget,
“ Requires separate purchase of Installation Adhesive Kit P/N 11100088.”

BTW, a 2010 used the same rotor as your 2009. You would need to find a 2009 Trike rotor, or a 2011 or newer touring take-off.

Well i was looking at that too but i need the comp now & testing isnt over yet on the new Baker comp and its not really avail yet either though you can get on a pre buy list.

So i figured id try the se comp that should at least last longer and if that does in fact crap out too by then testing and or any required design upgrades should be done on new baker comp and it would also be avail to to buy without delay at that point too.

But thanks for the suggestion.

If you need installation adhesive I got some you can have for free. The kit came with 5 tubes, I think I used one.

Scott: You willing to sell the unused part of Harley glue kit you have left from doing yours?

I'll also send you a PM with this question.

Thanks.

If you have a tube of the glue still left over, I am looking to pick one up. Just let me know how much, and I'll send via paypal. Have my comp in route, but would rather use oem glue than any other options people go with. Thanks
