That's part of the plan, some of the springs we were getting from the other manufacture were "tweaked" meaning you could set the O.D. of the belville spring on a flat stone and they would not sit flat, and that will just not do. So manufacturer number one FIRED. Lets try number two.

thanx for the info HD. I just replaced mine about 500 miles ago w/ the SE it was installed 2 days prior to be stumbling across this baker comp.
I really had no problems with the original one. I was trying to be preventive.
so ill get the baker and remove the SE. maybe I can sell it later.

Who are you using for the updated springs and how long do they take to get. I have what I thought was your latest comp installed (last week) only to have noise coming from the primary. Now waiting on new spring.

I had my buddy order mine, comp/tensioner for me, since he owed me some dough, so he come back telling me he was told the comp was 399.00 and the tensioner 199.00. plus shipping. they asked him if he wanted the items shipped together at the same time to save on shipping, so I said that's great. I told him the comp price was wrong and the tensioner was supposedly 10o/o off, he said nope he was told I was wrong..i guess this order was placed about 3-4 weeks ago by the way. sometime after the order was place he got a call saying that he was given the wrong price, I can't remember how long after 2 weeks? 3? I was LOL? my buddy was asked if we still want the parts and if we do, it will still come at the same time, Dec. some time? who ever called my friend said he had lots of people who want this items.
of course we I still want it !!!!
just wanted to share my experience, that's all
thought's anyone?
if you catch my drift...

thanx Baker!!
I got my package Mon.
so, i'd like to know who has installed their comp and needed spacers? what thickness and part numbers.
if we can put down year and model of your Scoot, so we can have a consensus of some sort?
and if NAP is necessary or a different source of heat will do?
and how do we know who got the old springs or the new ones?

I have a 2010 Limited. I used small acetylene torch for heat. I had to add .020 shim to be within the .030 spec. McMaster Carr 3088A388. I also needed a different rotor HD 30041-08A. I installed the Attitude chain adjuster at the same time. Primary is much quieter now.
