Default Transmission drain plug question

I just bought a 2009 Fat Boy, when I went to change the transmission fluid the plug was at an angle so I removed it and put it back but it would never get tight so I believe it is stripped. Should I get one of the colony oversize plugs or should I Time-Sert the hole? If I do Time-Sert is it easy to do on bike and would I need to remove shocks to get in there?

Thanks

Yes. I would remove the shocks and install a timesert.
