My 2009 Ultra's comp is going out. The bike has 12K on it and its banging around pretty good. I ordered the Drag Specialties comp as a replacement because it was, lets face it, $ cheap. While it looks decent for a direct replacement, I also noticed it is made in Taiwan. I am going to install it and such, but was wondering if anyone has had any decent luck with these? it is a direct replacement for the -06a that is currently installed. I don't expect to get a kazillion miles from it, but for the cost and the riding season I figured why not. I haven't been able to find too many issues that anyone has posted, even with google search. so thought I would put it here and see what comes up.

Well, not much info anywhere on these so apparently either no one uses them or those that do are not getting any worse life from them than a stock unit

It has more to do with it having been just released. They are still filling pre-orders currently.
I guess I'll be the guinea pig for this then. I didn't have any issues getting mine as far as pre-orders are concerned. Came in three days. I am going to install it in a few days and find out!
Looks like the baker products are having problems also
this remains to be seen. i hope Mark from baker chimes in and lets us know what they find. my first guess would be incorrect installation not seeing it first hand.
The only issue we have ran into to date is chain alignment and if you are one of the unlucky ones that has this issue we can fix it for you for free. Not really our issue it seems Harley chain alignment is all over the board but we'll help you out anyway.
