I installed SE clutch spring today, was having problems with slipping 5 & 6 gears rolling through 3500rpm. I adjusted clutch afterwards and I am out of threads on the adjustment, so I turned the adjust back up which caused lever to loosen. I now have over an 1/8 of play where cable enters lever housing and the clutch engages out about a 1 inch from grip. I rode and it shifted normal but worried I am going to cause premature failure. What did I do wrong or is clutch cable itself going. I am having motor work done this fall and I need to get through the summer with this fix.
