Also could be the fluid you are using. I never have trouble finding neutral. I use Mobil 1 racing 4t 10/40 in the primary and Belray Gearsaver 85/140 in the trans.

It's where it always is! As Joe says if your clutch is slightly out of adjustment your clutch will drag just enough to make life difficult. One trick is simply to snick into neutral just before you roll to a stop. Simples! Then learn how to adjust your clutch and experiment a little. On my older Glide I find my clutch works best with most of the cable slack taken out, after setting the adjuster in the clutch as per the book.

When I'm in first I just let the clutch out the tiniest bit to roll forward an inch or too and shift into neutral then. Engine temp affects this too. Its hard to find neutral when the bike is not warmed up.
As others have mentioned the fluids you use in your primary and your transmission will affect this also.
I recently put mobile one 20-50 in all holes, changing one fluid per day ( so I can still get lots of ride time ).
Mobile one in the primary. Neutral was easier to find. Mobile one in the trans ( amsoil was in there previously ) Neutral then got harder to find.

The only blue parts on it at present are the fenders! I'm in the middle of trying to solve the Ohlins cartridge problem, which once sorted with enable me to complete building up the front end. Tank is off at present, as I'm sure you can understand, with the forks about to be taken off. May be some time at the present rate of progress!
