Default Compensator going out already?

I have a 2013 Heritage with 8,900 miles. After fueling the other day I hit the starter and got a loud bang from the primary. It was very loud, like someone was inside the primary and smack the cover with a sledge hammer.
I immediately tried again and no problems, just a smooth start up. And the same for the rest of the day.

So has anyone else gotten something like this and then nothing for who knows how long before it happens again?

I'll probably get a Screaming Eagle Comp and put it on the shelf so if it dose it again I'll be ready to swap it out.
