Default Yet another Compensator Pulley Thread

Skogger here--longtime rider...first Harley was an Aramicci 250 Sprint (1964?)..then a 70 Sporty, followed by two CB Hondas and a Suzuki, then back to Harleys--an '84 Shovelhead Wide Glide, '50 Panhead, and then two Road Kings and current a 2010 Street Glide with the 96 cu in engine. I have been loyal to this company like an old Cocker Spaniel.....
Local dealer and Harley corporate report that they are 'sorry' about the three sets of compensator pulleys that have failed on my 2010 SG, but they cannot help me.
I have spoken to various engineers and mechanics and understand now that the compensator pulley has an engineering design flaw that restricts oil flow and guarantees failure. Seems worthy of a product recall, but all I had hoped for was an SE upgrade kit at cost. No dice sez local dealer and corporate.
Then I research the threads on compensator pulley failure on the Forums....holy crap!!
I am beginning to see Harley et al in a similar framework as my ex wife. Once loved and trusted, increasingly an opponent dedicated to an 'ethics suspended' exploitation for fiscal gain.....
What does it take to begin a class action lawsuit?

Oops. Just read up a bit on that....gonna need a consult from my local wrench for that. But I think it can be managed.
I presume you mean on the primary side? I wasn't aware runout was commonly associated with comp pulley failure.

If the shaft isn't straight the comp won't rotate true, uneven wear will lead to uneven spring pressure, uneven chain wear etc. Snow ball effect.
