Default Vibration in left peg

I have a 2001 tsport, just over 500 miles on it and I just noticed a strange vibration through the left foot peg on deceleration while in gear. I'm not sure what it is so I thought I'd check for some input. Prior to riding today, I didn't feel the vibration. But once I got out there I noticed that it happens in any gear as soon as I let off the throttle and I feel it the most in lower gears while engine braking. I don't think it's motor mount related being that it only happens on deceleration, any ideas? Thank you all in advance

It most likely is the mounts unless some part of the motor is hitting the footpeg.. The motor mounts not only support the motor but also the swingarm rear wheel.. On decel the rear wheel pulls the whole drivetrain back in the frame. Acceleration pushes it forward.. I'd suspect the rear motor mount is gone and part of the isolated tranny section is rubbing the frame.

Thank you for the input! I'll definitely check that out soon. Going to be pretty busy this weekend but once I get a chance to inspect it I'll post my findings here

Just to be sure, are you referring to the rubber isolators that sit on the pivot shaft running through the swingarm?

Well I assumed tsport meant a FXDXT.. They don't have isolators on the end of the swingarm like a bagger.. The one that is likely bad is the block shaped one under the swing arm mount..

It is a FXDXT, I got confused with what it had when I was doing some outside research. Thank you for the link with the diagram

So I got the old motor mount off but now I can't get the new one to line up properly. I have the bike up on a jack and a bottle jack supporting the rear end of the motor, but raising or lowering the bottle jack doesn't move the motor independently, it just lifts the entire back end of the bike up more.

Are you confusing foot peg vibes as apposed to a loose primary chain slap ?My 2cWiz

It ended up being a motor mount/motor alignment issue but I got it solved now. Drivetrain was resting on frame giving me an intense vibration but all is well now!
