The transmissions are constant mesh...so no need for synchronized.

As above, get a good quality motorcycle trans lube and be done with it. Don't try to re-inventvtgecwherl. Get Redline, or BelRay. FWIW...my trans is very happy with BelRay. It didn't like Syn3. With BelRay it shifts smoother and quieter.

Great guys that's what I needed to know. Not using synthetic in any hole again just want to use a good 75/90 real gear lube

I'm not a synthetic fan ( usually ), but the Redline made a significant improvement in ease of shifting and reduction of gear noise in my 2009.

Actually, all modern day and even older synchronized transmissions are constant mesh. Those little tapered synchronized rings are just brakes so the dogs which are much smaller then a Harley and a lot more of them quietly click in.

Very old ones that did not have a synchronizer on low was a gear shift but it shared an idler for reverse.

Synchronized and dogs of Harley. There simple is not room synchronizers. Run a good GL4 or less straight weight gear oil with no detergent since the system has no filter and you want crud to settle to the bottom and stay there. Not to thick, 50 Winter since there is some very small needle bearings that need flushed. That little impeller on the throw out bearing and gear splash is your prim lubricators.

Do not use a GL5 since there is bronze coatings on the newer shift forks.

I'm just gonna use a good 75/90 gear lube I had 80/145 and I think it was too thick like you said getting it to the needle bearing. As soon as h/ d sends my needle bearings I can put my trans back together they have been back ordered for two weeks now
